Built By Hand. Backed By Service.

A husband-and-wife team turning hardwood into heirlooms, right here in Michiana.

Our Story

Made by the Middletons started the way most good things do — with a shop full of tools, a stack of ideas, and no interest in mass-produced furniture. We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Michiana, Indiana, and every piece that leaves our shop is designed, cut, joined, and finished by hand — never a batch run, never an assembly line.

Rick brings the discipline of a U.S. Marine veteran to every build: measure twice, cut once, and don’t put your name on anything you wouldn’t be proud of. That standard shows up in the joinery you can’t see as much as the finish you can.

Why We Build

We don’t carry inventory, and we’re not trying to. Every project starts with a conversation about your space, your story, and what you actually need — then we build it, one board at a time, using sustainably sourced hardwoods and joinery methods that are built to outlast trends.

How We Work

  • Tell us what you’re picturing — furniture, home décor, outdoor pieces, or something nobody’s built before.
  • We put together a quote with clear pricing and a spec sheet so there are no surprises.
  • A 50% deposit gets your build on the schedule; most pieces take 4-6 weeks.
  • Pick it up from the shop or we’ll deliver it — either way, it’s built for you and only you.

Our Shop

Full woodshop — table saw, bandsaw, planer, jointer, and precision joinery tools — plus in-house laser engraving for personalized touches, so details like custom text or emblems don’t have to go anywhere else.

Semper Fi, and see you in the shop.
